Texas Station does just that, bringing a Texas feel to the party, and although this isn’t the flashiest casino hotel in town by any means, they offer great value and a solid casino experience.

That’s exactly what the locals are looking for when they choose their gambling venues, ones that may not be that famous or popular with tourists but may be a great place to gamble at. These locals casinos are generally off the strip, and cater to neighborhoods more, like Texas Station with the people of North Las Vegas, where it is located.

It is owned by Station Casinos, which got its start in 1976 when it opened the Palace Station, considered to be the city’s first locals casino. Station Casinos now operates 19 casinos, some of them very small, but some quite large, including Texas Station which opened in 1995 and boasts 123,000 square feet of gaming space, which is right up there with many bigger names in Las Vegas. Texas Station is actively involved in giving back to the community and runs many fund raising events to benefit the people of Las Vegas, and students at risk in particular.
